Dental Implants – A restorative practice

Oral diseases are the most common type of problems for the human kind. The teeth and the gums keep in constant touch with the bacteria generated by decaying food and hence get affected by the acids produced. Loss of teeth is the ultimate result of a chronic oral disease. It is possible to imagine the amount of distress that is caused by the loss or breakage of the teeth, as it is not only painful but also interferes with the eating and speaking abilities of the patient.
Thanks to the new modern technological and surgical developments, one need not despair anymore for the damage to the teeth. Orthodontists are now specialising in dental implants, a practice to repair or restore the lost teeth. With the help of an artificial fastener, a hard synthetic tooth will be attached to the root of the jaw bone. The dental implant so created can be as natural as the original teeth and the patient can live a normal life of his regular eating/ speaking etc after the surgery.
The dental implants are now preferred by the dentists and the patients compared to the bridge and crown work carried out in the past. The reason for such a preference is the ability to maintain better oral hygiene and personal looks. However, the orthodontists will need to test and verify as to whether a particular patient would be suitable for taking the implants and he may prescribe pre or post operative treatments.
Dental implants as teeth restorative practice can be safety adopted by all needed persons to restore their oral health.
